DEAR DINOSAUR - "Adventures of Dino and Otis"

Dear Dinosaur Volume V takes a strong turn this week as we move towards the conclusion for the series!  Head over to www.twoforonecomics.com to read this week’s strip and then come back for official commentary.  This week’s strip lays the stage for the final push of Dear Dinosaur, so you do not want to miss it!

Last week, Ryan the Editor made his dramatic return to the series, having been previously sold to the Jawas by Otis. Now that Dear Dinosaur has paid for the return of his pal, Ryan reveals the shocking history of Otis, which harkens back to the first volume of the series!  Otis was first introduced when he questioned Dear Dinosaur’s credentials, leading to the titular hero to quit the series.  We didn’t see Otis again until the end of Volume IV when he was revealed as a member of the secret Shadowy Board of Editorial Figures that cancelled Dear Dinosaur’s advice column.  As revealed in this strip, Otis was also behind the near murder of Dear Dinosaur in Volume III.

This week’s strip is pretty straight forward, but I did have fun throwing in a few cameo appearances in the first panel.  From left to right, the guest stars are:  Dragon Master—the villain of my upcoming webcomic Left2Right (debuting in March), Kano—the villainous badass from Mortal Kombat, Walrus Man—who you may know from Star Wars, Cassidy—the vampire best buddy from my favorite comic of all time Preacher, and Coach McGuirk—the greatest soccer coach ever from the hilarious TV series Home Movies.

Since Ryan is wearing a Screeching Weasel t-shirt, it is only fitting that we use a SW song for today’s soundtrack.  Even though it really doesn’t have anything to do with this week’s strip, let’s go with “My Right.”  It’s an awesome song.

Finally, this week’s strip, along with many others is for sale!  If you’d like to buy the original 11 x 17 art, it’s only $10 plus $3 shipping anywhere in the US.  Shoot me an email at rlschrodt@gmail.com if you are interested!
