Happy New Year friends! I hope that 2014 is off to a great start for y'all. 2013 was an exciting year for me, but I have even higher hopes for the coming year. Even though Dear Dinosaur is ending this year, I have a lot more in store that I hope you will enjoy. But, before we get to that, there is still a lot of Dear Dinosaur to enjoy! Head over to www.twoforonecomics.com for today's all new strip and then head back here for the official commentary!
This is the second time that we have flashed back to Dear Dinosaur's experiences in college. The first was way back in Volume II, where we saw that Dear Dinosaur was far more awkward than he is now and Ryan (me) was way skinnier with less impressive facial hair. This week we jump back again to see what hopes the main characters had for 2004 and where they saw themselves in ten years--where we are today. I really enjoyed going back to these younger designs, especially college-aged Dear Dinosaur, whose younger self is a blast to draw.
Today's soundtrack song is "Basic Breakdown" by Apartment 26, one of my favorite bands back when I was in college. I had a really awesome Apartment 26 tshirt that I wore all through college until it was basically in shreds.
Finally, this week’s strip, along with many others is for sale! If you’d like to buy the original 11 x 17 art, it’s only $10 plus $3 shipping anywhere in the US. Shoot me an email at email@example.com if you are interested!
