DEAR DINOSAUR - "Cutting Corners"

We are taking a trip in the Way, Way Back Machine on today’s Dear Dinosaur, which features the first ever rerun of the series and introduces a major revelation for next week’s webcomic!  This is something you definitely do not want to miss, friends!  Head over to to read this very exciting strip and then head back here for the scoop on what all this madness means!

This week’s strip begins with a flashback to the very first Dear Dinosaur strip, which is actually a bit hard to find as it actually ran as  a Filler Friday before the comic was officially picked up as part of the regular Two for One line up (back when the site actually only had two comics—The Bait and Terrorbads).  I actually redraw the original panels, but kept the original concepts and dialogue.  It’s pretty crazy to look back on how far I have come “artistically” since January 2012 when the comic first launched.  While I’m still not the greatest, I clearly had no idea what I was doing just 20 months ago.  Rather mind-blowing, isn’t it?

With the use of the rerun, the Shadowy Board of Editorial Figures are trying to cut costs so that they can launch their final attempt at improving Dear Dinosaur, which is also the first concept to really excite our “hero.”  Next week, the strip will appear in glorious ‘high definition.’  I don’t want to spoil the surprise for what that actually means, but I will say that the strip is totally unlike anything we have done in the past.  It is not something that you want to miss, that is for sure.

Side note, we are doing giveaways all week to celebrate the second anniversary of Two For One Comics.  To enter for a chance to win a sketchcard and print copies of Dear Dinosaur Vol 1-3, follow the directions below the comic!

The soundtrack this week's Dear Dinosaur strip is "Get Back" by The Beatles.  You know, because we "got back" to the first strip ever.  Lame joke, I know.  Deal with it.

Finally, this week’s strip, along with many others is for sale!  If you’d like to buy the original 11 x 17 art, it’s only $10 plus $3 shipping anywhere in the US.  Shoot me an email at if you are interested!
